About LawPrep Co.
LawPrep Co. was not built from the outside looking in. It was built by someone who lived the LLB — the isolation, the volume, the exam pressure — and came out the other side as a practicing Advocate.
The Story
I did not walk through the LLB alone. I had a tutoring company behind me — one that broke down the work the way the exam needed me to know it, not just the way the study guide explained it. Without that support, I am not sure I would be standing in front of judges today.
That is not false modesty. The LLB is genuinely difficult. The volume is enormous. For UNISA distance students, the isolation compounds everything — you are expected to master four years of law from a PDF, in your own time, on your own. For contact university students, the lectures are there, but understanding and exam performance are two different things. My daughter studied LLB full-time at a contact university, attended every lecture, and still needed extra support to perform at the level she was capable of.
LawPrep Co. exists because that gap is real — and it is not being filled properly. Every other tutoring option either went online and never came back, serves UNISA students only, or puts unqualified people in front of students and calls it tutoring.
We do it differently. Every session is run by a qualified professional. Every tutor holds a distinction in the modules they teach. And unlike most options, we are led by a practising Advocate, with live online sessions every Saturday that you can join from anywhere in South Africa.
Because I know what it feels like to sit where you are sitting. And I know exactly what you need.
Program Director
The Director
Before becoming an Advocate, Adv. Naidoo spent over twenty years in sales — building businesses, reading rooms, and learning how to win. She co-founded Advocate Travel with her husband, growing it from scratch into a company that serves thousands of advocates across South Africa. That is where she fell in love with the legal profession.
She earned her LLB, was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court, and now practices civil litigation. LawPrep Co. is the culmination of that journey — entrepreneurial instinct combined with the sharp eye of someone who has spent a career spotting gaps and filling them.
Two decades of sales teaches you to read the room and understand people. That is exactly what makes a great courtroom advocate — and it is the kind of legal practitioner LawPrep Co. is built to produce.
"I may not be the top advocate, but I am the top closer — and isn't that what every law student wants? To win."
The Tutor Standard
Every LawPrep Co. tutor passes three requirements before they stand in front of a student. There are no exceptions.
Minimum 80% in each module. In South Africa, 75%+ is a distinction — so 80% is genuine mastery. We do not accept tutors who merely passed the work they are teaching.
A tutor may never teach a year above the last full year they have completed. A 3rd-year student teaches years 1 and 2 only. A graduate teaches all years. Knowledge must be verified, not assumed.
Before any tutor teaches a paying student, they deliver a 15-minute demonstration lesson to Adv. Naidoo. Knowing the law and being able to explain it clearly are two different skills. We test both.
